Council Working Party on Customs Union meets to discuss UCC reform – Brussels

The Council Working Party on the Customs Union met on 28 April, among other things, to discuss the Union Customs Code reform.

The WP discussed Title VIII – special procedures – which contains provisions on topics such as customs warehousing and free zones. The discussions also specifically focused on Article 86 of the proposal, which governs the temporary storage of goods.

FEPORT closely follows the discussions on the Union Customs Code revision, as our members have a strong interest in customs legislation that enhances the efficiency of customs controls, enables seamless operations, and combats illicit trade.
