On March 25, FEPORT was pleased to participate in the 14th EU Domestic Advisory Group meeting under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement, bringing together stakeholders from the EU and the UK.
The meeting covered various topics, including an exchange of views on the forthcoming EU-UK Summit in the UK on May 19. Participants clearly stated the need to increase cooperation beyond security and defence. Indeed, while these aspects are considered essential given the global geopolitical situation, issues related to mobility, services, and environmental standards should not be neglected. Both sides stressed the importance of defining common positions while respecting the possibility of independence for each DAG in the event of divergent points of view. While expectations for the Summit remain cautious, the commitment to maintaining open and constructive dialogue was clear.
FEPORT welcomes the opportunity to support these discussions and continues to highlight the importance of a stable and forward-looking EU-UK relationship for the transport and logistics sector.
