Selection Procedure for New TEN-T Coordinators – Brussels

The European Commission has initiated the selection process for new European Coordinators for three key corridors of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T):

  • Atlantic Corridor
  • Baltic Sea–Black Sea–Aegean Sea Corridor
  • Rhine-Danube Corridor

European Coordinators play a pivotal role in advancing the development of the TEN-T corridors. They facilitate cooperation among Member States, stakeholders, and project promoters, ensuring the timely implementation of infrastructure projects and the removal of bottlenecks. Their work is crucial for enhancing connectivity, promoting sustainable transport, and achieving the EU’s broader economic and environmental objectives.

The selection process is managed by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE). The Commission plans to appoint the new Coordinators by Summer 2025. Detailed information about the selection and designation process is available in the official document published on 22 April 2025.

This initiative underscores the EU’s commitment to strengthening its transport infrastructure and ensuring the seamless movement of goods and people across the continent.
